Why I made this site
In the wake of the 2026 Kumamoto earthquake, I opened this site to connect people who need relief supplies with people who want to deliver them.
When a disaster strikes, a great deal of relief arrives β yet information about what is needed, in what quantity, and where it should go is often not shared well, and supplies fail to reach the people who truly need them, even though the supplies exist.
On this site, people who need supplies can post what they need, how much, and where β and people who want to help can check that information and deliver exactly what is needed. That is the mechanism this site aims to provide.
When the 2016 Kumamoto earthquake struck, I was living in the United States. As my hometown suffered, I felt a deep sense of powerlessness and frustration at being unable to do anything.
Ten years have passed, and a major earthquake has struck Kumamoto again. This time, I did not want to only think about what I could do β I wanted to act. That is why I built this site.
May the supplies that are needed reach the people who need them, in just the amount that is needed.
And may this be a place that both those receiving support and those giving it can use with peace of mind.
I hope this effort can lighten the burden on those affected, even a little, and help the circle of support hold together.
